1. Can you share a bit about your background and how you discovered the program?
    I’m Janhavi Chawla. I am mom with 2kids in college. I heard about it through a school mom Sharon. I believe in learning and self development at every age
  2. You’ve been working with Deirdre for two years now. What’s your experience like? What aspects of the program resonate with you the most?
    Deirdre genuinely wants all her students to succeed and do well. She teaches correct singing technique with breath control
  3. How have you seen your voice evolve over the past two years? What specific improvements have you noticed?
    Improvement in depth and range of my voice is noticeable
  4. What benefits have you derived from the program? How has it helped you achieve your vocal goals?
    I started off with just wanting to sing confidently with friends. Now I’m singing everywhere I go, at restaurants/karaoke bars while on holiday, at a friends book launch, did 3 song covers and released on Spotify. I’ve just got my first gig for July end
  5. What do you appreciate most about Deirdre’s approach to vocal teaching? How has her methodology helped you grow as a singer?
    I’m trying different genres on music. Pop, jazz, broadway, I try them all. Her techniques helped me develop a control over my big voice that I don’t shy from anymore
  6. Are there any specific techniques or practices that you’ve found particularly helpful in your vocal development?
    Lowering my larynx helps always. It reduces strain on vocal cords, so I can even attempt singing with sore throat, coughs and colds
  7. What motivated you to re-sign up for the course? Was there a particular aspect of the program that you found especially valuable?
    Deirdre understands exactly what correction is needed for every case, she knows her stuff
  8. ⁠Congratulations on your recent cover single! How did the program help you prepare vocally?
    Lowering larynx comes naturally now, more than before. Recording and mixing engineer was happy with an artist who comes well prepared
  9. How do you think Deirdre’s teaching methodology contributed to your success with the cover single?
    Deirdre has a professional approach to music. Prepare well and deliver, that is what I have learnt from her and I plan to continue doing
